Celebrating one year to go for the Rugby World Cup 2019 hosted by Japan, Australia-Japan Rugby Exchanges events will take place in Sapporo and Tokyo.
Rugby is one of the most popular sports in Australia and the Wallabies, the men’s national team, is the two-time champions of the World Cup.

ANZCCJ Bledisloe Cup Charity Gala Dinner

Date: Thursday 25 October 2018, 19:00 – 21:30
Venue: Ritz Carlton, Grand Ballroom, 2F Tokyo Midtown 9-7-1 Akasaka Minato-ku Tokyo.

Ahead of the Bledisloe Cup Rugby Final between the All Blacks and Wallabies on 27 October, the Australian and New Zealand Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a charity gala dinner to celebrate the special occasion and what it represents for Australian, New Zealand and Japanese businesses working together here in Japan. Special guests, CEO of Rugby Australia Raelene Castle and CEO of New Zealand Rugby Union Steve Tew will come together to share their views on how RWC19, the first Rugby World Cup to come to Asia, will shape the future of rugby as a global sport and create lasting impact in Japan and Asia. Proceeds from the event will go towards the ANZCCJ Kamaishi Community Sports Project, an important community for the Chamber and one which the Australia and New Zealand business community in Japan has strong links.

Classic Wallabies Coaching clinic

Date: Sunday 28th October, 10.00am-12.00pm
Venue: Musashino Municipal Athletic Stadium, 5 Chome-11-20 Kichijoji Kitamachi, Musashino, Tokyo

Classic Wallabies Morgan Turinui, Justin Harrison and James Holbeck will host a rugby clinic with Musashino Rugby School at the Musashino Municipal Athletic Stadium in Tokyo.
Visitors are free to watch the clinic. Wallabies’ mascot, Wally will join the event. The Clinic can be viewed from the 2nd Level Viewing Stand.

 

Kick-off ceremony to celebrate one year to go for the Rugby World Cup 2019

Classic Wallabies Justin Harrison, Morgan Turinui, Mark Gerrard and Wallabies’ mascot, Wally will join the event hosted by Sapporo-city.  Mark has played for Japanese teams and met the Japanese Brave Blossoms at the 2007 World Cup.
